Dr. Konuk was born in 1973 in Ankara. He completed his primary and secondary education at TED Ankara College and Ankara Atatürk Anatolian High School, and his higher education in 1996 at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, which he entered in 1990.

He completed his specialization education in 2001 in Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology, which he entered in 1996.

He has been working as a Lecturer in the same clinic between 2001-2004, Assistant Professor Doctor between 2004-2008, Associate Professor since 2008, Professor Doctor since 2016. He took the European Ophthalmology exam in Paris in 2008 and obtained the title of 'Fellow of European Board of Ophthalmology'.

Dr. Konuk is a member of Turkish Ophthalmology Association, European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (E.S.O.P.R.S.) and American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO).
